Vesper wasn't one to complain about his jobs. He enjoyed being the head strategist for his lady's forces. He had led her to victory so many times and other times had failed, but even an angel wasn't perfect. If it wasn't for him he felt that maybe the New World Order wouldn't have come as far as it did. Still his new job in this time of peace was to guard the princess. How were a strategist's skills good for this job. He wasn't a weakling or anything, but he wasn't exactly built for protection services. That was a job for the army or the guards themselves. She probably felt that one of her most trusted allies were the ones she could trust.
The whole thing was almost insulting, but at the same time it was a great honor to guard the Princess of New Babylon. Vesper always held some sort of attraction to the princess. She was beautiful no doubt and she seemed pretty cool to be around. It wasn't like he didn't have a shot what with his charm and all. He was just worried about it becoming something deeper, he wasn't at all ready to settle down. He wanted to enjoy some of the good life before he decided to have a family. Maybe when the world was under their power he could consider having a family, but definitely not now. He couldn't decide destiny though, destiny decided for him.
Vesper rolled out of bed and dressed appropriately for his job. He wouldn't need anything fancy, just a v-neck, jeans, and a light jacket. He didn't know where the princess would be dragging him around, but he was sure it wasn't to a royal ball. He put his blades on his belt and a pair of daggers inside his jacket. He had to be prepared for the worst, who knew when the resistance was going to make another move against them. He wasn't about to trust them with this so called time of peace, they were just building up their forces again for another war. No way Yahweh would allow the anti-christ any power over his world. That ruthless psycho path was not to be trusted.
