Laying on the cool green grass against an old oak tree. Seemed like paradise. The long thick branches with it's green leaves gave anyone who sat underneath it shade from the rays of the hot orange sun. The creature laying there enjoyed the tree's protection and the coolness the tree gave. It was relaxing in the park. Children were laughing and having fun with their families. Pet owners were enjoying the day also. The creature breathed in deeply. She could smell the sweetness in the air. Nature, better than a scented candle any day she thought to herself.
Her eyes were closed as she took the happiness around her in. This was a half day off. She had a night shift for some creepy sounding new guy that she was suppose to clean for. While she should be at home and sleeping. There was just something she couldn't get off her mind. Kcyia. Did she really see her the other day or was her mind playing with her? She had almost exhausted her resources when she thought she caught a glimpse of her younger sister the other day. Sighing a little, she tried to push her thoughts to the dark place of her mind. She crossed her legs and slid down the oak tree further. Letting her back lay on the grass as she rested her hands on her stomach.
While trying to go back to her relaxing state of mind. A ball rolled by her foot. A small shadow appeared to retrieve the red ball that had gotten carried away by the wind. Without saying a word to the small shadow. The child picked up the ball and told the creature who was laying in the grass a secret. Without opening her eyes she said, "Promise." The child giggled and ran off to find her family. She could feel the stress leave the child and it ran off. A tiny smirk ran across the creatures face. This day just keeps getting better and better she thought to herself.
